Alison’s songwriting career

Alison Prestwood has been a session musician in Nashville for over twenty years, playing bass on many records by artists such as Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, Little Richard, Brooks & Dunn, Peter Frampton, Olivia Newton-John, and Buddy Miller.

The first number one song she played on was Blake Shelton’s “Austin.”

Alison has also toured extensively with many artists, including Patty Loveless, Rodney Crowell, Shawn Colvin, Olivia Newton-John, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Trisha Yearwood, and Pam Tillis.

Alison has been nominated four times for the ACM Award for Bass Player of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.
